Ah such a good question. It’s normal for the plants to pump out lots of male blossoms initially, but as the plant matures, female flowers will come. I would check to see if you’re using fertilizer and if so, what product you’re using. If it’s a high nitrogen product that can impact flower formation. High temperatures also impact the plants and fewer female flowers will form. Generally, use a balanced veg fertilizer, water deeply several times a week, mulch plants to hold moisture, and if it’s been very hot, hang some shade cloth overtop the plants to offer some shelter. All this should help! Good luck.
]]>I would for sure! It’s just extra protection when temps are still sky high and will help reduce the risk of bolting.
