Hi Berta, If there are cocoons inside, you want to wait for outside temperatures to be between 54 and 57 F (12-14 C) in spring. Ideally the time to clean it out is in the fall. I never knew the how, when, or why on caring for my bee house. I did place my bee house in the outside shed. But now that it’s getting a little warmer, I live in lower Michigan, should I set it back outside? I have a good size veggie and flower garden for them. It may still get cooler and will defiantly begin to rain. So, I’m not sure when to clean it. How can I tell it’s safe to clean it out. Sincerely, Berta
