I highly doubt your home is going to sink because of moles, voles , mice or squirrels. Leave your neighbour alone she’s not bothering you. Reporting her is quite silly. I had to reply to your comment. It was too ridiculous to pass]]> In reply to Maggy.

Nope. They do not have claws capable of digging through a concrete foundation and they typically do not climb. Maybe you have a mouse?]]> In reply to april glaspy.

I don't think their tunneling activities would cause such dramatic damage, but I suppose you could consult a structural engineer if you wanted a full review of the cause of any potential damage.]]> In reply to Maggy.

The lady next door feeds them regularly, even after reporting her. With all these tunnels underground and under our house can our house be a victim of a ground critter sinkhole?

So I vote to get rid of moles early to make it less inviting for voles.

Thank you for this great information. I am always looking for a better way Right now I exclusively use the Victor mole traps. While I have used every thing from water or car fumes down the hole. Obviously nothing works. When I set a trap I water around the area of the trap ( but not in the hole). This gets the grubs going and attracts the mole. I am super diligent about setting traps as soon as I see a mound Victor Companies has a great video on everything mole and how the traps work. Also just checked the laws the state of Washington does not forbid the use of traps for moles and other small rodents

So while not meaningfully destructive on their own, moles are phase I of a prospective disaster.
