I suggest taking the rose out of the pot, washing the soil from its roots, and repotting it into brand new potting soil that has no grubs. It should do just fine. Be sure to keep it watered.]]> In reply to Nelly.

Today l found in my rose pot, these horrible grab worms, the rose is fading away unfortunately… I haven’t even dug deep to find them… You think it’s better to just get rid of the rose?

Will the use of nematodes or milky spores harm the animals that eat the grubs, more specifically my dogs who eat the grubs

Explains how to distinguish between different grubs; and when they are a problem, when not. As per the usual, within an organically functioning balance of the whole, they tend not to be an issue. Also explains how to combat grubs with non-toxic methods – NOT using the omnipresent, terrible neonicotinoids that so many people are not aware of. Thank you for this wonderfully educational and respectful piece of writing.

They look more like C-shaped grubs than anything else I’ve see pictured online. The weather is about to turn cold, and they are not menacing a lawn (I don’t actually have a lawn; it’s almost all container garden and herb beds.) Do I need to worry about them?
