This is the first year I decided to try cucumbers with the trellis, however, I’m not sure if I like it because even though it has the curly things that attach, I feel as though they’re natural growth is on the ground even when you guide them they don’t just grow obviously upward onto the trellis by themselves. I’m just not sure if I like it.

Hmmm good question! We don’t recommend epson salts but there could be many factors – heat, no pollination, etc. If flowers appeared but didn’t result in fruits it could be more of a pollination issue. Maybe try hand pollinating to help Mother Nature along 🙂 – Niki

This year i added 1 tablespoon of Epson Salt to ward off white flies, which it did very well. BUT I did not get a single cucumber! I also use mushroom compost mixed in my bed. Last year was a good crop, vice this….so am guessing Epson Salt was not a good idea? I live in southwest Arizona. BFox
