I would wait to fertilize until next year as, since they were recently planted, they are still forming new roots that may be sensitive to fertilizer.

We planted 2 bushes from a nursery 5/24 in a raised bed of top soil then we mulched with wood chips. Should we add Holy-tone to the top of the mulch to help with the ph levels? They are a bit out of range or leave alone this year?

Thanks for this information. I planted two blueberry bushes in the fall. It’s spring now and they are doing well. I did fertilize them a few days ago, but you say not to fertilize the first year. I hope I didn’t cause any damage.
